Reading · Task 3 · Read an academic passage

Answering isn't enough. You have to show where it says so.

Most reading practice lets you guess: pick the option that feels right, get it right, learn nothing. Here every answer must be anchored to the sentence that proves it — so if you guessed well, we'll both know.

Getting one right with the wrong evidence isn't failure. It's the most useful thing this game can tell you, because it means you recognised something rather than reasoned it — and that stops working the moment the options get close together.

What you'll do

  1. 1Predict where the passage goes, from its first sentence alone.
  2. 2Read it once — 200 words, the real 2026 length.
  3. 3Answer the real question types, then click the sentence that proves each answer.
  4. 4Put a removed sentence back where it belongs in the argument.
